Last Friday I was reading some of my back issues of Real Simple magazine. As I was reading the June issue, I came upon an article titled Organizing for Your Personality. Since I had just finished with my organizational spree, I was quite interested in the article which included a quiz to determine what my organizational personality is...do I have left-brain or right-brain organizational habits? Not surprisingly, I fell into the left-brain category.
Left-brainers are those who think in words (attention, list makers!), do a lot of advance planning, and approach challenges in a rational, linear way.
Yeah, list maker - that is definitely me.

I took the quiz in the magazine too. Shocker... I'm also a leftbrainer! Many organizational projects are occurring in our household this summer as well. And no nesting here either. :)
I read that article and went out and purchased some "Real Simple" items from Target! My computer desk at work and at home are much more organized!

although i wish i could answer yes to #1 about putting eveything away immediately after I use it! :)
Being a list maker myself, I was surprised to learn that the quiz puts me in the right brained camp. Perhaps we have different approaches for different areas of our lives. Good food for thought.
I'm a lefty as well. Hmmmm...wonder how many of us who blog on organizing are left-brainers? haha
I did have some righty things circled though, so I may check out some of the right-brained ideas for organizing as well to see if I can tweek my weak spots in organization.
