summer weekend ~ part 6

Yes, it is still summer! The weather is warm (hot!) and there is still significant light into the evening - definitely qualifying it as the summer season. We enjoyed another fabulous summer weekend with friends a week ago. We spent Friday night in historic Weston, being treated to a stellar four course dinner at the American Bowman Restaurant followed by some festive Irish music at O'Malley's Pub. A very fun night! And our fun night was followed by another fun day and evening. We braved the heat and hit a Royals game...and they actually won!

A year ago today, we were celebrating with these two friends but at a very special occasion - their wedding! So, Happy Anniversary, friends!

Good deals this Saturday! I'm trying to do a little before school starts (on Wednesday - yikes!) shopping for myself. Found two goodies today:

And here it is...the last bathroom! As of Tuesday afternoon, everything is complete from the base boards to the mirrors to the door to the window treatments. FINALLY!!!!

Tomorrow I head back to work. So, what is one to do the day before she heads back to work? Get a back-to-school haircut, of course!

Several months ago I snipped out a picturs from a magazine of a cut I liked. Short. Choppy. Bangs. I've had that picture tucked away waiting for the right time to pull it out and make the cut. Finally the urge hit me last week so I made the appointment and this morning I watched my old hair fall to the ground and am pretty pleased with my new short do!

Now that I have my back-to-(school)work haircut, I guess I need to get myself mentally ready to go back!
